In Drama we combine performance study with a practical approach to the exploration of theatrical styles and features. This is creatively combined with the development of personal and social skills through the consideration of moral and contemporary issues.

At KS3 students receive one lesson a week in drama with an option to continue Drama and Dance at GCSE level in KS4.

During KS3 our focus is to give students the opportunity to perform imaginatively and creatively, to work with others sensitively and co-operatively and to develop competence and understanding of drama skills and technique. Each lesson in drama offers the opportunity to make, perform and respond, with emphasis on students having the confidence and discipline to become speakers and listeners.
