Student Soloists Shine

IMG_1921

Four Falmouth School students were superb guest soloists at a concert in Falmouth Methodist church on Sunday night. Their musical skills were marvelled at by the audience and all received a warm welcome and extended applause. Theo Fleming played Sonata in E minor by Handel on Flute, then Abiah Wyatt played piano and sang her own beautiful composition, ‘Perch’. In the second half of the concert pianist Lewis Naisby performed Nocturne in C# Minor by Chopin, and Anna Freeman played piano and sang her own moving arrangement of ‘How Great Thou Art’.

The students had been asked to join them by Nankersey Male Choir, who are based in Flushing (the Cornish name for Flushing is Nankersey). The Nankersey Male choir had also invited ‘Keltique’ the ladies choir from Looe to share in the concert that was to raise money to repair the church roof. It was a wonderful evening of music much appreciated by the audience, a great experience for our students who did us proud!
