An exciting week for PE

It has been an exciting week of sport for the PE department at Falmouth with students competing in their first sports fixtures of the academic year in Netball against Penryn College and in Rugby against Redruth School.

Students displayed fantastic performances across all matches and represented the school superbly. We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part. A special mention has to go to the year 7 Netball and Rugby teams who displayed outstanding performance in their first ever fixtures at Falmouth School with both teams winning their games, in addition to the year 11 Netball team who showed incredible team work and resilience to finish their games with a win.

In other sporting news a huge congratulations goes to Cara and Elodie who competed at the Dutchy Minors Open athletics competition last weekend where both students secured personal best performances in the 100m and Cara went on to secure further PB's in the 200m and Javelin where she secured a 2nd and 1st place finish. Both students devote a huge amount of time to their training and this event rounded off a very successful season of athletics with Cornwall Athletics Club.
