Falmouth School is pleased to be able to offer students the chance to complete the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. The award has been running for over 50 years, originally being set up by the Duke of Edinburgh himself. It is an open award to all young people aged between 14 and 24 and is aimed at providing young people with an opportunity to gain recognition for taking responsibility for themselves and their own development. It is now seen by employers and HE providers as the number one desirable addition to academic qualifications in any application.
The award has 4 areas of study to complete before it can be signed off, the first three sections require on average 1 hour a week for 3 months, with the final section taking a further 3 months to complete.
