Rosa swims for Nepal

Year 7 student Rosa Davies completed a remarkable swim to raise money for a Nepalese charity, ahead of an upcoming volunteer trip. Rosa and her mother travel to Nepal next month to help build new classrooms, a science lab and a library in a school in one of the country's poorest areas - Bardia in the far west of the country.

Rosa has already raised £250 on her own, contributing to the wider total needed as part of the first phase of fundraising for the programme. Her latest fundraising challenge was an overall swim of a massive 10km between Rosa and two friends from different schools. The overall distance of the swim made it a split of 3.33km each – a further distance than any of the girls had swam before.

Rosa’s remarkable feat saw her named the Falmouth School Sports Star of the Week and everyone will be keeping a keen eye on the next steps she takes, before the next update after her trip. Good luck Rosa!
