With teachers and students off on their summer holidays, the hard work has continued behind the scenes at Falmouth School with various refurbishments taking place ahead of the new school year. With work already underway for the exciting new community sports hub, several other areas of the school will benefit from some new and improved features.
The school received a government grant of £270,000 for refurbishments of the school toilet facilities, with work completed in time ahead of the new term. Elsewhere, new dining furniture has been installed to enhance the break and lunchtime experience for students.
The main school hall has seen significant changes over the summer. The main hall will be transformed into a fabulous performance venue with tiered seating and a capacity of 350 for many of the exciting evenings across the school calendar, such as school productions, music concerts and awards evenings.
Assistant Headteacher Alex George spoke of the hard work that has gone into these improvements. “We are delighted with the further improvements to the school, to ensure fantastic facilities for student and community use,” he said.
If you are interested in using any of the school facilities, please contact the school.
