Art Graphics and Photography
Art, craft and design embody some of the highest forms of human creativity. A high-quality art and design education should engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design.
Art at Falmouth focuses on a practical and contextual skills based curriculum, designed to enable personalisation of students experience and to enable students to express creativity and individuality in a confident manner. From year 7 students undertake core technical skills in the visual elements in response to the world around them. This provides a strong foundation to inform future learning to broaden skills and deepen art understanding.
From Year 9 there are routes to follow courses in art, graphic communcation or photography which many of our students choose, creating fabulous works of art before continuing on to our Sixth Form courses.
